ITALIAN PILOT KILLED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. ROME, January 20. Nardini, a brilliant war-time aviator, has been killed. A defect developed in his machine when he was flying at 3,000 ft. and he crashed. Nardini leapt off witn a parachute when at a height of 150 ft, but it failed to open. A PARACHUTE DESCENT SYDNEY, January 27. Sixty thousand people attended the Domain to watch Lieutenant Haakon Oviller leap from an aeroplane by means of a parachute. He landed in a tree unhurt. This is the first time that such a feat has been attempted in Sydney. COBHAM'S FLIGHT ABOUKIR, January 27. (Received January 28, at 10.30 a.m.) Sir Alan Cobham has left for Luxor.
