Mr Orr Walker. S.M., gave his reserved judgment at Ashburton in the case in which Bishop and church, were charged with failing to place the names and addresses of purchasers on packages of liquor sent into a, No-license area, and in cases in which James Somerville, of Scafield, and James Sim. of Seafield Head, were charged with failing to plane the name and address on orders. Counsel had contended that “ Ashburton ” was sufficient. The magistrate held that such an address was not sufficient, The address must he a reasonable one, so that the liquor could he traced. As this type of address had hitherto been accepted, he would not impose a fine, ordering payment of costs only.
