ON VALUATION BASIS ADVOCATED BY MR SNOWDEN. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 25. Advocating the taxation of land values, Mr Philip Snowden, speaking at Hanley, said that if the value of land in Britain-in proportion to the population were taken at only half New Zealand’s figure a tax of ocl in the £ (the same rate as that imposed in Sydney) would produce £100,000,000.
