JAPANESE MISSION
VISIT TO RUSSIA INTEREST IN BRITAIN. Press Association — By Telegraph— Copyright LONDON, January 26. (Received January 27, at I.SO a.m.) Official circles in London attach importance to Mr Goto s visit to Russia, says the ‘Daily Telegraph’s’ diplomatic correspondent. It is believed that M. Tchitcherin or M. Karakhan is shortly going to Tokio to complete a comprehensive agreement, and it is understood that M. Litvinoff will probably seek another interview with Sir Austen Chamberlain at Geneva at the end of February or in March, when the Security Committee meeting follows that of the League Council. f A message received on December 7 stared that Mr Goto, accompanied by his suite and secretariat, has left Tokio for Berlin via Moscow. It is generally accepted that the mission seeks closer relations between Japan, Germany, and Russia.]
