Tho Calm sailed last night for Wanganui via ports. The Breeze is due on Sunday from Lyttelton, and is to load and sail the following daj r for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and 'Wanganui. Tho Port Caroline arrived at Rort Chalmers last evening from Bluff to continue loading for Home. Sho will complete at northern ports. The Opihi, from Westport, was duo to-day to unload coal. After discharge she will load out on Monday for Westport via Timaru. The Corinna will now leave "Wellington this evening for Dunedin direct. She is due on Sunday, and is to load on Monday for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. Tho AVaipiata was to leave Auckland to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Tho Kurow, from Bluff, was due today to load for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The S.S. and A. steamer Mamilus (late Zcalandic) was duo at Wanganui loadstoad yesterday to commence loading for Home. She will also load at other ports, including Port Chalmers, vdioro she is duo about February 15. The vessel is to complete at Lyttelton, and is to sail finally from there about February 22 for London via Panama. The Ruahinc is timed io leave Wellington at daybreak on Saturday, February 4, for Southampton and .London. Passengers will embark on i'ridav evening, February 3. The Rinmtaka, which is now loading at Opna. is timed to sail from Auckland at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, for Southampton and London via Panama. The Mauri, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 0.45 a.m. to-day, and ; passengers and mails connected with tho first express. .MANUKA IK PORT.

The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka arrived this morning |’rom Melbourne via Bluli, Wellington, and Lyttelton, and was berthed at the Rattray street wharf to land passengers and discharge general cargo. The Manuka sailed from Melbourne on January 18 for Milford Sound and New Zealand ports. Sbo had lino north-easterly weather until nearing Milford Sound on Saturday morning, when the wind freshened from the north, accompanied by a northerly sea. Owing to the sudden serious illness of one of the ship’s trimmers, the proposed visit to Milford Sound was abandoned, so that the man, who belonged to Melbourne, could be landed at Bluff,, where the Manuka arrived at 6 p.m. on Sunday. The vessel left Bluff at 9.30 p.m. on Sunday, and, going up the east coast of the South Island, arrived at Wellington on Wednesday morning. The vessel was timed to leave here this evening for Bluff and Melbourne. TUB AKIN A AT HOME. The Tuiakina, which saikJ from Wellington on December 19, arrived at London on Tuesday. RADIO FROM TAMAROA. The following radio message has been received from the. Tamaroa, which sailed from Auckland on Saturday tor London via Panama :—“ All well. Fresh winds since leaving Auckland." SUSSEX FROM CALCUTTA. An arrival last evening was the Union Company’s chartered steamer Sussex from Calcutta via Penang, Singapore, and north New Zealand ports. She was berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge Eastern cargo. The vessel, which was last at Dun edin about three months ago, returned to India. She took on fifty-four monkeys and six herons for the Auckland Zoo at the Indian port, and'sailed from there on December 8/ The vessel then proceeded to Penang and Singapore to complete loading cargo. She experienced an exceptionally fine weather trip all the way across, and arrived at Auckland well up to time. Captain J. D. Frew is in command of the Sussex, and associated with him are the following officers:—Chief, Mr G. W. Evans; second, Mr E. J. Deed; third, Mr F, H. G. Clark; wireless operator, Mr R. A.
