A retailer wrote to a firm ordering a supply’ of goods. In reply the firm wired: “Cannot send goods until last consignment paid for.” The retailer replied; “Cancel order; cannot wait so long.” “ I went out to America on bne of the biggest liners in the world.” “ How did you like it?” “Wonderful! If I hadn’t been bad all the way over I shouldn’t have known 1 was on the ocean at all.”
