WAIRARAPA TOURNEY The Wairsirapa Association’s annual championship and handicap tournament was concluded yesterday after four days’ play in glorious weather. The final or the men’s singles will be contested by 0. P. Welch (Masterton) and F. W. Martin (Masterton). The other championship results are: — MEN’S DOUBLES. J. C. Charters (Whangarci) and P. B. Welch (Masterton) beat E. B. Wellwood and F. W. Martin (Masterton), 3-5, 6-4, 6-2. LADIES’ SINGLES. Mrs W. J. Melody (Wellington) beat Mrs R. H. M'Mastcr (Martinborough), 6-0, 2-6, 11-9. LADIES’ DOUBLES. Mrs W. J. Melody and Miss V. Short (Wellington) beat Misses S. and M. Freely (Wellington), 6-1, 6-0. BOYS’ SINGLES. K. Dyer (Masterton) beat C. I. Bunny (Greytowu), 4-6, 6-3, 6-0. ' GIRLS’ SINGLES. Isobel Brunton (Greytown) beat Alison Prognell (Masterton), 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
