DUNEDIN THE BEAUTIFUL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Being a visitor to this,_ your fair and glorious city, T feel it my duty to write and say how much my family and T have enjoyed our stay in your midst. Truly, our holiday has been all too short. Were it not for business reasons nothing would have given us greater pleasure than to have spent another month in this, your ideal climate, which has benefited us greatly. In all our travels, which have been many, no one could have received or had more kindness shown them than we. I don’t care where one goes, Dunedin holds the palm for courtesy and kindness, also a loveable class of people, always ready to show the stranger his or her way. For scenery at your own door, it can’t be beaten. She trouble is, it is not enomfib. agr

predated by the town’s people. Be up and doing. “Boost” your city more, and don’t be afraid to boast of your town. You have something to boast about. My family and I had a tour up Central OtaM. In our past travels w-e saw nothing to compare with the scenery of the South Island from Oamaru to Dunedin, and Dunedin up and around Central Otago. I am a native of the north, but I am not one of those who can see no city but his own. I like to speak of every town and its people as I find them Wo did the trip to Waipon, which was a most enjoyable outing;'also the Whore Flat trip. Mr MTvenzic, tramways manager, is a lucky man in having such a competent staff of men under his care. The driver of the bus to Wharo Flat was No. 250. That I took special notice of. A most capable and efficient driver was he—one congenial to all, and who put himself out to explain all o the different places of interest trip. Wo were all very sorry when that trip terminated. Our holiday in Dunedin is one never to be forgotten.—l am, etc., Jan. 26. Holiday Makeh.
