The main street of West Harbor and also its extension to the boundary of Port Chalmers borough should soon assume a change for the better.. It is likely to be declared a main highway and put into order by the Public Work's Department, Port Chalmers Borough, and Dunedin City Council contributing to the cost. The Highways;Board will pay half, the gross cost when the road is declared a highway, the West Harbor Council thus securing a first-class road on exceptionally..favorable terms, on account <j/ most of the traffic being from outside the borough.
