BOUVET ISLAND
QUESTION OF OWNERSHIP LEAGUE SHOULD DECIDE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, Juno 24. (Received January 25, at 9.10 a.m.) In a leader niicnt Bouvet Island, ‘The Times’ says: “Perhaps as the interest chiefly concerned is whales, the League of Nations ought to organise an expedition with the two-fold object to report on future whale fishery and to investigate the problem of Bouvet’s ownership. It would he interesting to know whether any islands are still unappropriated. Only the League can be trusted for the task, since the League alone has no flag.”—‘The Times.’
