■ The’ first meeting for the year of Court Pride of the Valley, Juvenile Foresters (attached to Court Pride of .the,Leith), was held on Saturday last, ! with a good attendance of members. It was arranged to hold competitions on -the, rendering of. the initiation ceremony, open to officers and P.C.R.s and ordinai'y members. Keen enthusiasm in regard to these competitions was I shown by all members. Addresses were (given by J. W. Bro. A. W. Jones and D.S.G.R. Bro. -R; S. Vercoe, of the ! parent court. The latter brother donated the first prize for the proposed competition, and P.C.R. Bro. Bennett the second prize. One new member was admitted. It was resolved to form a cricket club in connection with the cdurt, and the following office-bearers were elected: —Patron, Bro. J. K. Macfie; president, Bro. H. C. J. T. Bennett; vice-presidents—Bros. A. W. Jones, G. Ellison, T. F. M‘Natty, C. C. Robertson, J. Hope, W. R. Brugh, W. J. Duncan, G. B. Barrowclough, J. Abbott, C. S Hawes, J. Benfell, and R. S. Vercoe; treasurer, Bro. J. A. Millar; secretory, Bro. W. H. M. Campbell: committee—Bios. R. IT. A. Walker, R. A. K. Beale, F. W. Newman, H. S. Osborn, R. A. Anderson, and J. Henry; captain, Bro. J. A.'MilTar; deputy-captain, Bro. J. Henry.
