PRINCESS THEATRE

Nod in their ninth week at the Princess Theatre, the Fullers’ Follies are just as popular as ever before. Their presentation this week includes ‘ Maid of the South,’ a delightful musical comedy, one of the funniest of all the Follies’ productions yet staged. Described as a ‘Southern Trifle with a Spanish Dressing,’ it is indeed a colorful romance, set in the mythical island of Sandego, where Spaniards and Scotchmen abound in riotous confusion. The revue is preceded by a programme of bright, up-to-date, and varied items, by which all the members gain fresh laurels. The funraakers are_ given plenty of scope in the many diverting absurdities, and the singing amd dancing throughout are of the usual high standard.
