WAIRARAPA CLUB (Pan United Peess Association.! MASTERTON, January 14. The Wairarapa Motor Club held its animal race meeting on the Taratahi Racecourse to-day in showery weather. A wet track and intermittent trizzling showers caused the riders a lot of trouble, principally with sparking plugs. The club’s new system of racing by classification instead of by handicap proved successful, and was approved by riders. Coleman broke his gearbox in the first start and took no further part in the meeting. Results : Novice Handicap. sm.—W. J, Denby, 23 Harley, scr, 1; J. Ashcroft, 23 New Hudson, ISsec, 2; L.
