WORK STARTED AT ALL PORTS. EXCEPT MELBOURNE.
SYDNEY, January 14. (Received January 14, at 9.50 a.m.) There has been a general resumption of work by the seamen at all ports, except Melbourne, where it is stated that no official report was received from the headquarters of the union. Some vessels will be idle for some time yet in order that the sailings may fit in with the time-table. All cargo vessels were manned immediately.
