(Received January 14, at 1 a.m.) The Chamber of Deputies, by 310 votes to 227 rejected a Socialist motion condemning the Government’s decision to arrest the four Communist deputies who were convicted of sedition. (Received January 14, at 9 a.m.) Two of the convicted deputies, Couturier and Cachin, attended a session in the Chamber, but were arrested immediately the House rose and taken away in motors, while the sympathisers cheered.
