PATERSON CUP
OUTBOARD MOTOR RACE. The first race for the Paterson Cup for outboard motor boats powered with engines of not more than “20 c.c. capacity was held last evening by the officials of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Club. The course was three times over the measured mile, and was completed by the winning boat, Miss Whippet, in 9min 40sec. Aloha led at the end of the ' first lap, and then Miss Whippet caught up and the two boats raced together for the remainder of the race, Miss Whippet winning, with Aloha a length away.
