QUESTION OF HIGH COMMISSIONER APPOINTMENT PROBABLE. Pres* Association—By Telegraph-Copyright, VANCOUVER, January 9. (Received January 10, at 11.45 a.m.) The appointment of a British High Commissioner to Canada, whoso duties will be similar to those of the Canadian Commissioner in London, may follow the discussions between the Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King) and Mr Amery. The latter said he had no information regarding the London report of a new immigration scheme to settle disbanded soldiers in the Canadian West after agricultural training had been provided.
