SAlLED.—January 9. Hum, trawler (2.1 a p.m.), 32 tons, W. F. Norbury, for Bluff. Kaitangata, s.s. (5 p.m.), 2,005 tons, Briscoe, for Wellington. Gale, s.s. (8.30 p.m.), 567 tons, Stanich, for Wanganui via ports. The Calm is expected to leave on Thursday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Kaitangata sailed last evening for AVellington, where she will discharge the remainder of her timber caigo. On Thursday morning the Hohndale is due here from Wellington to load general cargo for way ports and Wanganui. The Progress is now expected at Dunedin on January 16 from AVellington to load general cargo for Lyttelton, New Plymouth, and Port AA’aikato. The Cumberland, which was to sail from Port Chalmers for Bluff on Thursday, has now been delayed till Friday. The P.ort Denison, which is loading wool ami merchandise at Port Chalmers for Home, was expected to sail this evening for London via Panama. The Kamo is loading as AVestport for Timaru and Dunedin. The Federal steamer Surrey, now leading at Napier, is to complete at AA r aikokopu and AVellington, and is to finally sail from the last-named port on January 21 for London and West of England ports via Panama. The Union Company’s vessel, Kaiwarra, will load at Newcastle for Auckland about January 17. The S.S. and A. liner Athenic, recently loading at Port Chalmers and later'at Picton, will fill up at Gisborne, Lyttelton, and AVellington for Southampton ami London. The vessel is timed to sail ITrom AVellington on the morning of January 27 via the Panama route. Cabled news received by the Union Company states that Hie Waiotapu cleared Los Angelos on January 3 with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on January 25. The auxiliary steamer Pin was expected to leave Melbourne on January 6 for Auckland with a cargo of explosives THU FURRY SERVICE. The Wahiue, from arrived at Lyttelton at 6.40 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails connected with the first express. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT LINE. Cabled advice from Panama reports the arrival there of the Canadian Government steamer Canadian Challenger, en route from Halifax to Auckland. She left Halifax on December 24 with general cargo for .Auckland, AV cl lington, Lyttelton, Timaru, pnd Dunedin, and is cine at Auckland about February 4, and at Dunedin about February 16' The Canadian Prospector arrived at Auckland from Montreal and Sydney (Cape Breton) yesterday afternoon. Sho left Montreal on November 27 tor Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. She is due hero about January 22. AVEST EI.CAJON AT AUCKLAND. From Pacific Coast ports, via Honolulu. the West Elcajnn arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon. The vessel lias cargo for discharge at Napier, Wellington, and Lyttelton. UNION ROYAL MAIL LINE. The Union Company has been advised that the R.M.S.” Maunganui replaces the R.M.S. Tahiti in the Syd-ney-San Francisco service for three voyages—viz., June 14, August 9, and October 4. from Sydney.
