The Union Company’s vessel Wairuna arrived at Auckland on Friday from PSeific coast ports. After discharge tueie she will go to Wellington,‘Beauty Point, Melbourne, and Sydney. ' After completing discharge of a quantity. of .timber, the Kaitangata, which arrived here yesterday afternoon from Port Craig, is expected to sail at 5 o'clock for Wellington. The Kurow leaves Auckland to-mor-row for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Kittawa sailed on Saturday for Wellington to discharge the remainder of her coal cargo. The vessel will afterwards proceed to Westport. The Kaioa. which arrived early on Saturday morning From Wellington, loaded a large quantity of general cargo and sailed on Saturday evening for Wellington and Auckland. The Kahika sailed on Saturday evening for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. After being recommissioned at Port Chalmers on Thursday, the Waipiata will load at Dunedin the next day for East Coast ports and Auckland.

The Tairoa left Port Chalmers at noon on Saturday for Wanganui roadstead to continue loading for London. She will propeed later to Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading. The Gale, which arrived at Dunedin on Saturday night from northern ports, is to sail this evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. The Waitemata, from Sydney, left Suva last Tuesday night for Vancouver, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. She is due at Vancouver on January 23. lONIC’S PASSENGERS. 'The Shaw, SaviJl liner lonic,’ which left Auckland on Wendesday afternoon for Southampton and London via Panama. carried the following passengers; —First saloon: Misses M. Hinds and 0. G. J. With passengers, mail, and cargo for New Zealand the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Mataroa was scheduled to clear Southampton on Friday for Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on February 11. THE KIA ORA. Cable advice received from Home reports the arrival at London on Wednesday morning of the Kia Ora from New Zealand. She left Auckland on November 16 for London via Halifax. MIN FROM NEW YORK. The steamer Min was expected to arrive at Auckland from New York to-day. The vessel is running under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, and has case oil and general merchandise for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. OTOKIA DUE TUESDAY. The oil tanker Otokia, bound from San Luis (California) to Wellington, lias reported by radio that she will arrive at Wellington at noon to-morrow. MIDDLESEX BRINGING EXPLOSIVES. The Federal Line steamer Middlesex, which sailed from London on December 23 for Auckland, Wellington, and New Plymouth, is scheduled to reach Auckland on January 28. In addition to general merchandise, the vessel has explosives which will be unloaded at the Alotuihi anchorage before she goes into port PERSONAL. Captain A. Pert is in command of the Northern Company’s steamer Ngatiawa, which was recommissioned shortly before the Christmas holidays, and the following are his officers: —Chief, Air H. Gibson; second, Air E. Gibson; chief engineer, Mr A. Price; second, Mr C. Mitchell; chief steward, Air S. Wright. „ Air R. Alartin has signed on as chief officer of the Northern Company’s Matangi, vice Air William Robertson. Captain T. Donovan has been appointed to the command of the Apanui in place of Captain William Robertson, who is on holiday leave. Captain M. P.ierotti has been appointed to the command of the auxiliary schooner Otimai, vice Captain W. Gash, who is on holiday leave. Mr H. Parker has signed off as chief officer of the Gisborne sheep farmers’ steamer Tiroa, his place being taken by Air C. Du Rhone. FLASHING BEACON. A new Hashing beacon has been installed at the mouth of the Piako River to aid its navigation by steamers trading from Auckland. The light, which is located at the outer entrance to the river, shows red sector and white elsewhere. The two leading beacon lights formerly exhibited on the Pipiroa or western side of the river have been dismantled. PORT DENISON ARRIVED. To load wool and refrigerating cargo, the C. and D. Lino steamer Port Denison arrived at Port Chalmers this morning from Wanganui roadstead. The vessel will fill up here for London via Panama. THE HERTFORD. According to telegraphic advice, the Federal Line steamer Hertford, from Liverpool, left Auckland on Saturday evening to continue discharging general cargo at Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and New Plymouth. She is due here about January 24. WAJUEMO COMING. The Union Company advises that the Waihemo, from Singapore, Penang, and Samarang, left Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
