FRANCE AND JUGOSLAVIA PACT OF FRIENDSHIP. Ppm* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, PARIS, November 11. Tho French and Jugo-Slavian Foreign Ministers, M. Briand and M. Marinvovitch, have signed a treaty of friendship and arbitration, and nave jointly issued a statement that both countries intend to work in full harmony with the League of Nations. It is believed that the treaty will strengthen the enonoraic bonds of the two countries, and the treaty is based on their unbroken friendship- The text will be published after it has been registered with the League secretariat. It will then be seen that the treaty does not aim at any country, but entirely conforms with the principles of the League. It may even bo the germ of a new Locarno. The Italian Government has been kept informed of the negotiations.
