ROAD IMPROVEMENTS.
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir,—l notice £575 on the Works Committee's estimates for macadamising Hie ' South road from David street to Surrey street. 1 think if our corporation would spsud it at the GJcu terminus the eouned would do more good, and would receive the thanks ot the travelling public, as in wet weather ladies cannot get on or off the cars without getting to their ankles in water or mud. The money that is spent on digging the road up and putting a few loose screenings on it, on an average about every fortnight, would soon pay for this asphalt—l. am, etc., Oxk of the Travelling Public. ■ November 14
