CHRISTCHURCH, October 28. “This is a very serious case. Defendant was driving a petrol, tank, there was a tramcar coming in the opposite direction, the motorman clanged his bell, and had practically stopped when tho defendant collided with the car.” Senior-sergeant I 4 itzpatrick. made these rcmai’ks at the Magistrate’s Court" in regard to Edward" Charles Eskett, who pleaded guilty to a charge of negligent driving along Ricearton The Magistrate imposed" a £lO fine and cancelled defendant’s license till March, 1928.,
