Tho Federation of British Industries, which is representative of ail tho principal manufacturing trades of Great Britain, has prepared a careful forecast of tbo prospects for industry during the next three months. It shows a substantial increase in foreign orders in many trades and a better general outlook. Tho recent motor show has resulted in a considerable development of tho demand for British automobiles, while in',tho motor cycle industry huge orders are reaching Britain from all parts of Europe, as well as further afield. The _ manufacture and export ~of artificial silk products are increasing- . Electrical engineering, chemicals, wireless apparatus, and exports from Leicester and Nottingham, principally of boot and hosiery machinery, are among the trades showing substantial raent.
