ATTEMPT ON SYDENHAM POST OFFICE. A (Infine attempt to rob Sydenham Post Office was made last night, but only a low letters w'*rc stolon. Entrance to the building was pained through one ol' the back windows, wlrioli was prised open with a jemmy. An attempt to toroe the back door, which apparently had been made prior to the window hemp opened, (ailed owing to the door being securely bolted and locked. All cash, stamps, postal notes, and valuables were stored in the strong room, and although strenuous efforts were made to break into it, the intruders were foiled. No explosives were used on the locks, but a rather amateurish attempt was made to boro through the brick wall with the object nr getting inside.
