Club held its weekly meet at “ Sea Mew ” over the properties of Messrs M. Stevenson, G. Donaldson, and H. Sim. The run was one of the longest held this season, being close on three miles of undulating country, and consisting of fourteen fairly difficult jumps, which proved an excellent test of a good jumper. Tim run started from the road at the top of Kew, and, entering Mr Stevenson’s property, the hounds were sent away on the trail at 3 o’clock. Picking up the scent quickly, they led the followers to the first jump on the brow of the hill, which was a gorse hedge, all getting over this safely. The next jump was a post and rail, opposite the goifhonse. which was also cleared in good style. Coming on up the hill, the followers came out of Mr Stevenson’s property at the junction of the road, and then jumped a post and rail in Mr Donladson’s property. Carrying on through his paddocks, two post and rails were cleared, and this brought the followers to the top of the hill. After jumping out of Mr Donaldson’s the road was crossed, and lumping another gorse hedge brought the followers into Mr Sim’s property, where several more gorse hedges were jumped. This completed a very fine run. The jumping | on the whole was very good, especially | that of Sunshine, Elaine, Miss Huia, Felix, and Malaga. The only fall was that of Haka, ridden by the whip (Mr D.-O’Connell). Haka galloped into one of the gorse hedges artl threw his rider, but fortunately neither rider nor horse was hurt.
