DUNEDIN COMPETITIONS
The twenty-sixth annual festival of the_ society will be held 'in His Majesty’s Theatre, Crawford street, Dunedin,' from Tuesday, September 20 until Saturday, October 8. Entries will close on Saturday, August 6. Syllabus and entry forms can be obtained from leading music warehouses _ or_ from Mr E. S. Wilson. Present indications point to the society having another record emv v Mr Jas. Brash, Sy'dney, has been appointed judge of the vocal sections; Mr E. Empson, Christchurch, of the instrumental section; Mr Culford Bell. Auckland, of the elocution section; and Mr D. M. M'Kechnie of the National Dancing section. * I* is expected that a good entry will again be received for the firms’, uoir contest. The inclusion of umo ill organ contest is also causing a groat deal of interest.
