The National Building Society held a meeting of members in the Otago Motor Club Rooms, Moray place, last evening for tho purpose of disposing of £2,400 by ballot and sale. Mr H. lialliday (chairman) stated that at the next meeting a further £1,600 by ballot and sale, in tbe two groups would be disposed of. An appropriation of £BOO was disposed of by ballot in No. 2 group, cluster No. 241 being successful, all four shares being held by one member. Two‘appropriations of £BOO each were then disposed of by sale, the successful tender in No 1 group being £4l per £IOO for £BOO, anil that in No. 2 group £42 per £IOO for £CCO.
