In the House of Commons Mr Churchill, replying to a question, said it was doubtful whether an announcement regarding the result of the Geneva, Conference could be made before the House of Commons rose for the autumn recess on July 29. Although the motion for .adjournment would give considerable liberty to members for raising a debate, it was open to question whether in the absence of a Government statement a discussion of the proceedings at Geneva would be desirable. The, House of Commons would reassemble in November to finish off the outstanding business.
