REFRESHING- DRINK RECIPE Here’s an admirable thirst quencher, especially for those in bed with ’flu: Squeeze the juice out of two lemons, grate the yellow portion of the peel off, and add this with a tablespoonful of honey to 1£ pints of hot water. Stir well and let patient drink it as required. When the feverish symptoms have been checked, give barley water slightly sweetened , with honey as a beverage. But it’s not necessary for anyone to be in bed with ’flu. Colds and coughs axe simple to check if they’re nipped at their outset. As a cold is really the first stage of pulmonary disease, your first sniff suggests getting your system into fighting trim, and throwing it off. This you can do most readily with M.l.M.—Marshall’s Influenza Mixture —a tonic remedy that has proved its value in thousands of homes. Swift to reduce your temperature and soothe inflammation, it should be in your medicine chest to-morrow.—[Advt.]
" When I first gazed at you I thought you were the oldest inhabitant.” “No, dear! I am an artist’s model.” “Then you only make a bare living?” Woods' Great Peppermint Cure for Coughs and Colds, never fails.—{Advt.]
