It was stated to bo thirty years of age. The owner, an aged widow named Emma Parker, and her brother, James Thorne, living in the village of Preston, near Weymouth, were summoned by me Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for causing the animal unnecessary suffering. The magistrates were shown photographs showing that the front hoofs had growu round the legs in circular fashion, while the hind hoofs were, 12in long and corkscrew shaped.
