OVER THE SHIP’S SIDE
DROWNED AT SEA [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, July 32. Richard Jessup, quartermaster on the Admiralty tanker Nucula was drowned at sea on July 11. He suffered a haemorrhage of the lungs, and was told by the doctor at Papeete that one lung was in serious condition. He seemed much depressed on Els return to the ship, and shortly after the tanker left Papeete was seen to disappear over the ship’s side. A lifebuoy was thrown and the boats were launched, but a three hours’ search was fruitless,
