PRINCESS THEATRE
From the point of view of those who relish a lively two and a-hall hours’ entertainment the reviu; offered by the George Wallace Company at the Princess Theatre this week loaves little to be desired. Under the title of ‘The Sparklers 1 the piece swings merrily along, George Wallace playing a part as a broken-down millionaire which surpasses all his previous performances. As usual, the inimitable little comedian leads the fun, with a background of pretty girls, gaiety, smart frocks, and sparkling dialogue. Tie keeps the audience in a prolonged roar of laughter with his ludicrous and original antics. Marie Nyman, who has become a popular favorite with Dunedin audiences, gives a good ’tendering of several bought songs, winch include ‘Just Around the Corner ’ and ‘ Strut.’ Letty Croydon is another clever artist who plays her part well. Marshall Crosby’s powerful baritone voice is beard in ‘I Wish I Had My Oid Girl Back Again.’ The Six .Cnties dance some dainty ballets. and all tho other members have parts which suit them well.
