FRANCE AND GERMANY
M. POINCARE'S DECLARATION
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright.
PARIS, June 19 Important references to Franco-Ger-man relations were made by M. Poincare at the unveiling of a war memorial at Lunvillo. He said that France was not seeking reasons to maintain a perpetual hatred and resentment towards Germany; but why, he asked, should high authorities hi Germany carry on a campaign demanding a revision ot the Dawes plan? If Germany stated definitely that no attempt would bo made to regain Alsace-Lorraine, either by violence or by trick, if she reorganised her police, dissolved her military societies, and destioyed the fortresses she would give tho world guarantees of her pacific, intentions and facilitate a rapprochement that Franco would not bo the last to desire.
