Duncan Johnston, who was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment at the Police Court, Auckland, for theft from two pawnbrokers’ shops, was stated to have, sold one pawnbroker his (the pawnbroker’s) own bag. He tried the same thing again, but was caught. He stole' another bag from another dealer’s shop and sold it to yet another pawnbroker.
