Wl FEITIKS HID Remarkable evidence of the popularity of the 1 Sports Special ’ is furnished in the sales returns, which from the very initiation this season jumped at once to the figure usually attained only in the hey-day of the season. Readers will agree that bothissues so far put forth have been both interesting and complete, and the third issue to-morrow night should eclipse its predecessors in appeal. A big budget of racing news will be furnished in,compiete reports and comments on the trotting at Forbury and the gallops at Hawke’s Bay, Amberley, and Marlborough; with the added 1 interest of "St. Clair’s ”'informative notes. Rugby ’Union, League, Soccer, Hockey, and Basket Ball fixtures, and the Harrier and Athletic events of the day will, as usual, bulk largo, with, of course, the usual "inquests” on last Saturday’s games by our special writers. A feature generally commented upon has been “ Hooker’s ” interviews with old-time players, under the caption, “ Rugby Reminiscences.” This week he covers the career of that splendid New Zeaalnd representative forward, " Alick ” M’Donald. ,1 The issue to-morrow will be liberally illustrated, and will be sold on the streets early in the evening.
