BABY PROCESS ECSTATIC OVER GUARDS’ BARB INSPIRING “ CONDUCTOR.” LONDON, May 2. The infant daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, Princess Elizabeth, Shted a crowd of people in Windsor e gardens .by “conducting” the Life Guards’ Band. When a nurse brought the Princess to the great window which overlooks the terrace on Sunday afternoon to listen to the band the baby began to clap her hands. King George and Queen Mary, who were in the room, were quickly attracted to the window, and their faces were wreathed in smiles when they saw Elizabeth’s hands moving as though she were following the bandmaster. Word quickly wont round the Palace that the Princess was conducting the band, and soon the Duke of Connaught, Prince Henry, and other members of the Royal Family were at the window. The delichted bandsmen played with special zest.
