MELBOURNE, March 20,
The City Council contains evidence of the remarkable growth of Melbourne from 1843, the date of its incorporation. In that, year the annual assessment was £66.847, compared with £4,443,081 in 1926. Since 1913 the assessed annual value of city property has more than doubled.
