VICEROY VISITS KASHMIR TRIBES PROMISE ABANDONMENT OF HUMAN SACRIFICES. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. DELHI, March 29. (Received March 30, at 1.30 a.m.) The Viceroy, who is visiting Kashmir, is the guest of the Maharajah, and is being regally entertained. The Maharajah received tho Viceroy seated on a solid gold throne, and tho servants held a gold umbrella. The Maharajah wore priceless jewels, and his horse’s bridle and headdress were studded with emeralds. Thirty-four village tnbos the Assam-Burma forntier consented, in response to Government efforts, to abandon human sacrifices.
