The Court of A ppeni was occupied vestordav in determining the appeal of Walter Hulston ,a Christchurch tobacconist, against the decision ol Mr Justice Adams, who, on February 25, made a declaration under section 14, subsection 1, of the Gaining Act, 1008, declaring Hulston’s piemises at 171-173 Madras street, Christchurch, to be a common gaming-house. The court reserved . its decision, hut allonipd the premises to bo reopened upon a bond lor £2OO being entered into, together with one surety.
