(2 a.m.), 567 tons, Nalder, from Wanganui via ports. SAILED. —March 29. Sheafmount, s.s. (5 p.m.), 5,123 tens, C V. Groves, for Sydney. Katoa, s.s. (5.20 p.m.), 2,484 tons, Kane, for Auckland via ports. Tho Opibi left Westport yesterday morning for Timaru and Dunedin. Due here on Saturday, she will load for Nelson, New Plymouth, and Westport via ports. _ The Progress is expected to-night from Wellington to load general cargo. She is to sail to-morrow evening lor New Plymouth and Port Waikato via poits. The Tamaroa is fixed to leave Wellington at daybreak on April 9 for Southampton and London via Panama. The Tainui is duo at Wellington on April 4 from London and Southampton via Panama, with _ passengers and cargo. The cargo will ho discharged at Wellington and Lyttelton. The Maimoa is loading a big amount of wool, frozen meat, dairy produce, and apples for England. The Kahika was to leave Gisborne to-day for Dunedin direct, and is due on Saturday. The Waipiata was to leave Auckland to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, . , The Wingatui will sail to-mght tor Auckland via ports. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.55 a.m. to-day, and passengers and mails connected with tho 8.50 express. LINER’S STORES. Tho expenditure Australia for stores for vessels of the Canadian-Aus-tralasian Royal Mail Line has increased considerably (reports the / Daily Telegraph’). To illustrate this the following are some of the items necessary to store the Aorangi for one voyage: —14,0001 b fish, 10,0001 b beef and mutton, 10,0001 b lamb, 12,0001 b small meats, 500 cases of fruit, 3,700 gallons milk, 20,0001 b poultry and game, forty tons potatoes, fourteen tons vegetables, 4,000 dozen eggs, 5,000!b butter, 6UU gallons ice crcahj. RUAPEHU’S ITINERARY. The Now Zealand Shipping Company announces an alteration in the Ruapehu’s itinerary. The vessel will proceed from Wellington to New Plymouth, then Wanganui roadstead, Port Chalmers, Timaru, Lyttelton, and Wellington to load. She is now expected at Port Chalmers about April 11, and will sail finally from Wellington about April 26 for Southampton and London via Panama. TOFUA’S PASSENGERS. THE HORORATA. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s . steamer Hororata arrived at Auckland on Monday from Bluff to continue loading dairy frozen meat,' and general cargo for England. She will subsequently fill up at Napier, Lyttelton, and Wellington.' I'rom Wellington she is to he despatched for London early next month.

NEW. PLYMOUTH RECORD. A further record at the New Plymouth Harbor was broken recently when the steamer Anglo-Egyptian, direct from Galveston, Texas, was berthed, drawing 27ft 6in forward and 27ft Sin aft. The previous record of 25ft was thus earily beaten. Tho vessel was berthed at tho Newton King wharf by the harbormaster (Captain V. nailer) without any trouble. THE ARGYLLSHIRE. The Federal Line agents advise that the Argyllshire, from Napier, was unable to - enter Bluff harbor yesterday morning owing to a strong south-west gale The vessel is now sheltering at Stewart Island. She will probably arrive at Port Chalmers on- Saturday to continue loading for London. THE PORT NAPIER. En route from Lyttelton to London the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Napier reached Panama on March 29, She sailed from Lyttelton on February 25. CARGO FROAI AUSTRALIA. The Union Company’s leave Bluff at midnight for Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Sydney. The Karetu was due at Bluff to-day from Sydney. She is due hero on Friday. and hence will sail for Timaru, Lyttelton, and Sydney. WAIKAWA WITH HARDWOOD. The Union Company’s steamer Wnlkawa is' listed to leave Bunbury on April 2 with a cargo of West Australian hardwood for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.
