HUMPHREY BISHOP COMPANY
Many phases of tho theatrical art are presented at His Majesty’s Theatre, where this highly popular company is enjoying a very successful run. Last night’s large audience was extremely loth to let “ Seratcher ” Ross leave tho stage at the conclusion of his exceedingly clever antics at the piano and his drolleries and witticisms in tho cabaret scena. Walter Kingsley is an especial favorite. He is heard to advantage in ‘ A Cottage Small ’ and 1 The Stoker.’ Thelma Trott and Fred. Webber gain loud plaudits for their excellently-ren-dered duet in tho ‘Miserere’ scene from ‘II Trovatore.’ Miss Trott is also associated with Mr Walter Kingsley in another duet, ‘ Night of Love.’ Charles Albert still discourses on the merits and demorils cf “Mrs B.” It is refreshing to see a dancing quartet these days, and it, is no wonder this item is a particular favorite. Dorothy Ryder and Elaine Maye both appear in charming solos, and the latter and Mark Leslie have a delightful singing and dancing duo. There will be a complete change of programme to-morrow night and a ‘special price” matinee on Saturday.
