A BUOYANT MARKET

WELLINGTON, Marcli 28. The wonderful buoyancy of tho wool market was again emphasised to-day _ at, the closing sale of the season at Wellington. Buyers showed an eagerness to acquire tho lots, and bidding was keen and spirited. This is attested by tho fact that 98 per cent, of the wool was sold, and , except for merino, all grades of wool advanced appreciably. '
The range of prices is as follows: Merino (64-70 to 60-64) — Super, 21Jd to 23d. Average, 18d to 213 d. Inferior, 15d to 16 Jd. Fine half-bred (56-58) — Super, 19Jd to 21d. Average, 17$d to 191 d. Inferior, 15d to 17cl. Medium half-bred, 50-56) — Super, 18id to 20d. Average, 16d to 18d. Inferior, 14d to 16d. Coarse half-bred (48-50) Super, 103 d to 18id. Average, 14$d to 163 d, Inferior, 12d to 14|d. Corriedale — Average, 16J_d to 18d. Fine cross-bred (46-48) — Super, 151 dto d. Average, ISJd to Iftid. Inferior, lljd to IS-^d.
