—*. RACING CYCLIST INJURED. J. Davidson, ono of tho competitors in tho motor cycle races at Takapuna on Saturday, as a result of colliding with the inside fence, sustained serious abdominal injuries, and is in hospital in a critical condition. He is twentyone years of age, and employed in tho Newmarket Railway Workshops.—Press Association. KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. Daniel Neale, aged seveiuv-mna, a resident of Grey Lynn, Auckland, was knocked down by a motor car, when ho stepped into the street, from the shadow ot a tree. He sustained serious injuries, which caused his death.—Press Association. A FATAL COLLISION. A young man named Harley Price, a dairy factory assistant, died in the hospital this morning 'as the result .if an accident in the small hours of Sunday morning. He was thrown from a motor cycle as the result, it is believed, of colliding with a cow which was wandering on the Main South road. —New Plymouth P.A. telegram. ' J SUDDEN DEATH. John Orton Barnett, aged seventy, an old resident of Rotorua, dropped dead in the street on Saturday. He lived a retired life. He had relatives in Wellington and Dunedin. The cause of death was heart failure.—Rotorua P.A. telegram. MOTOR LORRY OVERTURNS: DRIVER INJURED. A motor lorry, while conveying cream from Reparoa to Rotorua, went over a bank on Saturday night on the Main road. The driver (Martin Scahill) was, brought into hospital. Details of his injuries are unknown.— Press Association.
