ANNIVERSARY SERVICES
THE PREMIER PRESENT ADDRESS OH DR THOMAS BURKS In First Church yesterday the services commemorated the anniversary of Otago, which was celebrated on Wednesday last. The Premier and Mrs Coates and the Hon. K. S. Williams and Miss Williams were, present at the morning service, while the mayor (Mr Tapley) and city councillors attended in tiie evening! Special music was provided by tho choir, under Dr V. G. Galway. For the Scripture rending the Bible of tho ship Philip Laing, which brought the first settles to Otago In 1348, was used.
