ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
SUCCUMBED TO INJURIES. An Auckland Association message states that the death occurred in Auckland Hospital yesterday of Nelson Ross, aged twenty, of Grey Lynn, who sustained a fracture of the skull when he fell off a horse at Helensville on Sunday. FALL FROM LOCOMOTIVE. A schoolboy named Tohetohe Ararpeta, thirteen years of age, was killed by a locomotive of the Rotoiti Timber Company at 6 p.m. yesterday. The boy is said to have been riding on the engine contrary to orders, and toil off, the engine passing over him. An inquest was held at Rotoiti yesterday afternoon.
