MUNICIPAL MATTERS

TO THE EDITOR Sir,—The letter from the pen of Mr F. W. Mitchell, published in last evening’s ‘ Star,’ ventilates the opinion held by a large number of our more thoughtful citizens, but what is wanted more than anything else in Dunedin is a new set of city councillors. It is quite hopeless to expect men steeped in prejudice and very limited in vision to profit by the experience of othersi; ana, while our affairs are controlled by _tho present council ,it is useless to ask that common-sense methods be employed in road-making or any other work.
