At tho meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association the Otago Cricket Association wrote suggesting to other associations that for the Plunket Shield matches the home association submit to the visiting association the names of not fewer than four umpires, the visiting team to make a selection; the names to be submitted at least ten clays before the match, and replies from the visiting association to he in at least four days before the match. The resolution met with approval. DEATH OF A STALLION, [Psn United Press Association.] HAWERA, November 17. The well-known thoroughbred stallion Bisognc, owned by the Gray, Preston, and Goodwin Estate, dropped dead this morning. The animal was uninsured.
