OHAI MINERS OUT
PROTRACTED STRIKE LIKELY [Bee United Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, November IC. There is every prospect of a protracted strike at the Ohai Coal Company's mine at Ohai. The miners downed tools on Monday, claiming additional payment per box of coal. The employers considered the demands unreasonable, and, although favorable offers were made.to the men, they were not accepted, and the men refused to return to work. The employers intend to await representations from the men, and will consider only an unconditional return to work.
