Kamona, s.s., (9.15 a.m.), 1,425 tons, J. Stewart, from Grafton (Clarence River) and Port Stephens via Newcastle and northern ports. SAILED. —November 15. Storm, s.s. p.m.), 749 tons, Manson, for Wanganui via ports. Waitomo, s.s. (6.30 p.m.), 4,214 tons, Flynn, for Bluff. The Katoa will go to Port Chalmers early to-morrow morning to take the Monowai in tow for Gisborne. Thence the Katoa proceeds to Auckland. The Kahika will leave Napier to-mor-row for Dunedin direct to load out for Napier and Gisborne. Tho. Opihi was to leave Westport today for Timaru and Dunedin. Hence sho goes to Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Nelson, and Westport. ; The Kurow was to leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. Sim will load out here for Timaru, Lyttelton. Wellington, and Auckland. The Corimia will leave Wellington on Saturday for Dunedin direct. Hence she will proceed to Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and New Plymouth. The Karetu was to have left' Sydney at about midnight yesterday for Bluff, Dunedin, and Lyttelton. The Waitemata will leave Lyttelton to-morrow for Dunedin. After discharge she sails on Saturday for Nelson, Now Plymouth, and Wellington. > The City of Canton should arrive tomorrow morning. The Gale is due on Friday from Lyttelton. She should sail on Friday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. The Clan Manned wont to Port Chalmers this afternoon to be dry docked. She is to leave Port to-morrow evening for Westport for bunkers; thence Port Pirio to load. THE FERRY SERVICE, Tho Wahine, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.40 a.m. to-day. and passengers and mails connected with the 8.50 express. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO SERVICE. The following is the latest schedule for the Union Company’s transpacific cargo ships Waiotapu was to leave Lautoka yesterday for Vancouver via Apia. Hauraki left Melbourne on November 12 for Adelaide and Sydney. Waihemo leaves Auckland to-morrow for Wellington, Melbourne, and Sydney. Vinemoor leaves- San _ Francisco about November 20 for Wellington and Melbourne. Wairuna leaves San Francisco about November 26 for Auckland, Napier, Melbourne, and Sydney. The forward loading dates at Pacific Coast ports are approximately as follows : Waiotapu loads at Y a , ncouver > Powell River, Ocean Falls, Union Bay, and San Francisco during December • for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. ■Hauraki loads at Vancouver and San Francisco during January for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney. Waitemata loads at Pacific Coast ports during January for probably Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. Wairuna loads at Pacific Coast ports during February for probably Auckland, Melbourne, and Sydney. Waiotapu loads at Pacific Coast ports during March for New Zealand and Australian ports. WIRELESS FROM TAINUI. Murray, Roberts, and Co. advised at midday that the master of the_ S.S. and A. Company’s steamer Tainui had wirelessed that he was proceeding “ dead slow,” as he was encountering a strong southerly gale, and that ho would anchor off the Heads and come up to Dunedin on to-morrow afternoon’s tide. The Tainui is expected to arrive at about 2 p.m. to-morrow, KAMONA, WITH HARDWOOD. The Union Company’s steamer Kamona .arrived this morning from Australia via New Zealand ports, and was berthed at the Victoria wharf. The Kamona’s loading was started at Grafton, which port she reached on October 15 from Brisbane. - At Grafton she took in about 1,000 tons of ironbark piles. On October 23 she Sailed for Port Stephens, where she arrived two days later to complete her cargo with about 300 tons of. telegraph poles. The shin left on October 28 for Newcastle for bunkers, and sailed the same # day for Gisborne, her first port pf discharge. She

reached Gisborne on November 5, and sailed on November 8 lor Napier to continue discharge. On November 9 she arrived at Napier, and on November 13 she left for Dunedin direct. The voyage throughout was a good one. About 400 tons are being landed at Dunedin. The Kamona. will sail to-morrow for Tiraaru, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Westport. She will load on the west coast for Bluff and Dunedin. Captain J. Stewart is in command of the vessel, and his officers are:—First, Mr H. Evington; second, Mr R. Barling; chief engineer, Mr J. Smart, second engineer, Mr S, Head; third, Mr L. Larsen. HARMATTAN, WITH SUGAR. Carrying a cargo of sugar, the steamer Harmattan arrived at Auckland from Cuba on Friday. Having loaded all her cargo at Cuba, the Harmattan sailed on October 3. Fine weather was experienced to Colon, where The vessel a rrived on October 'B. The ship went through the Panama Canal, and resumed her voyage on the same day. Coming across the Pacific Ocean the Harmattan called at Papeete on October 30 for bunkers. With the exception of two days’ . boisterous , weather when the steamer was nearing Papeete the conditions in the Pacific wore favorable. A vessel of 2,700 tons net, the Harmattan, which is owned by the Willis S.S. Company, Ltd., was launched from R. Duncan and Co.’s yards, Port Glasgow, in 1918. She -was originally' named the War Fantail, and later the Nilmedo. She has not previously visited Auckland. Captain A. J. Clare is in command, having with him the following officers. —First, Mr F. King; second, Mr E. W. Parsons; wireless operator, Mr P. Fallon; chief engineer, Mr J. Macdonald : second, Mr H. Malcolm; third, Mr C. Hayes; fourth, Mr E, Cole; chief steward, Mr H. Powell. PORT BOWEN LEFT LIVERPOOL. Cable news has been received by , the C. and D. Line that the Port Bowmen sailed from Liverpool on Thursday with general cargo to dischnrage at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on December 24. ROTORUA TO CALL AT BLUFF. The New Zealand Shipping Company 'advises that the Rotorua, which is to leave Southampton on November 19 for New Zealand, will call at Bluff as well as at Auckland. She is due at Auckland on December 24, and at Wellington about a week later, VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
