NEW DUTCH PROVINCE. DRAINING ZUYDER ZEE. THE HAGUE, November 3. The world’s biggest drainage scheme —that of the Zuyder Zee—has been launched with the formation of a company with a capital of £500,000. The Dutch Government has concluded an agreement for the construction and upkeep of the work until its completion of an enormous dyke, eighteen miles long, to separate the North Sea from the Zuyder Zee.
